This presentation provides a timely overview of the current national and regional economic environments. The
focus will be on the determinants of the
current
recession including the roles of energy prices, the “credit crunch” and the ongoing corrections in the residential
and commercial real estate markets.
Special
emphasis will be placed on the linkages between the current banking crisis and access to capital for real estate financing,
factors affecting real estate
valuations,
the outlook for consumer spending and the retail sector, and the implications of ongoing changes in the political climate
for our industry.
Roger C. Tutterow, Ph.D., serves as The Chief Economic Adviser to The Henssler Financial Group.
He also serves as Professor of Economics at Mercer
University where he previously served as Dean of the Stetson School of Business. Dr. Tutterow holds a bachelor
of science in decision science from Berry
College and a masters and doctorate in economics from Georgia State University.
