Well known, loved and respected
in the industry, Tom Stead was a hardworking, dedicated individual and family man. An avid golfer, Tom was known for his warm
smile and straw hat, an accessory that he wore often when golfing.
In May 2007, Tom Stead succumbed to cancer, a disease
he had fought for many years. In August, FBMA dedicated its annual convention golf tournament to Tom's memory with the inaugural
Tom Stead Classic. A sold-out tournament, industry members, friends and family celebrated Tom's life and hard work.
The
2010 Tom Stead Classic will be held on Wednesday, September 22 at Orange County National golf courses in Orlando, Florida.
Shotgun start is 8:00 a.m. with sign in beginning at 7:00 a.m. Registration will open in June 2010.
